Tenders Alert Service

Intelligence Tender Alert Service

The database of the European Commission Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) in which all tenders with a value of €125,000 or more must be published, contains thirty search criteria. The main search criteria are of course country, nature of the invitation to tender (work, supplies or services), language and the CPV (Commun Procurement Vocabulary)codes. The CPV is a classification system for classifying the tender notices by the contracting authorities and this list contains almost 9000 codes with a short description. This list with codes is used by us for drawing up of a 'tailor-made' companyprofile .

Moreover our tenders alert service TEDALERT offers the possibility, by means of our sophisticated FULCRUM software, of the selection on keywords. Keywords are every string of characters, figures and strange signs. This is therefore all current words in every language, but also codes, references, names, e-mail addresses and whatever you can consider further. The use of the keywords makes TEDALERT so unique, because our FULCRUM software offers the following possibilities of manipulation of keywords:

  • We can search any keyword in the complete text of the invitation to tender in each official language of the EU (25 different languages);
  • use of 'truncating' as a result of which no keywords can be missed;
  • use of 'adjacency' gives us the possibility of searching for keywords for which positions of each other can be defined to be no longer than a certain number of characters;
  • Through the use of ' logical operators ' we are able to define which words or CPV codes must occur at the same time or, on the contrary, may not occur at the same time;
  • Languages are capricious and spelling errors are made fast. Through the use of special characters we can overcome these capriciousness in languages;
  • Spelling mistakes are also to overcome because TEDALERT converts all accented characters into the same letter without accents.

Finally:

You have the choice to receive the complete text of the tender, or the management summaries which contains a short description of the contract.
